Stop repetition with smart suppression rules
Repeated or clicky content can overwhelm a feed. Blocking patterns and low-value sources reduces clutter without losing coverage.
How to block effectively:
- Maintain a blacklist of outlets that recycle the same stories.
- Suppress headlines with known low-value phrases or listicle patterns.
- De-duplicate by grouping related stories and showing a representative item.
- Use frequency caps so a single topic doesnt dominate the feed.
Review your blocks occasionally to avoid overblocking. If a previously low-value source improves, add it back selectively.
